Local Government New Zealand makes recommendations about the regulatory frameworks for health safety and environment (HSE) matters are carefully considered to avoid overlaps and potential gaps and that the collaborative group considering HSE matters is resourced to enable it to help develop regulatory frameworks LGNZ supports the frontloading of the process and that appropriate roles for and consideration of costs affecting councils is carefully considered. LGNZ comments on the the review of the royalty regime and its distributiuons including to councils to recognise the costs of providing infrastructure.
