Public Participation

Public participation or public consultation is a necessary step in the strategic planning process. The main issues addressed here are how much consultation do you undertake, and to what extent. If your plan is a plan for the community then it is imperative that you have extensive participation and partnerships with community groups and organisations, because some of the actions will be beyond the responsibility of the council.
